Madi's Big News

I was so not ready for this! Even though Madi is in Kindergarten now, it still just seems like she's my little girl. I was shocked when I realized her two bottom front teeth were loose! Pierce didn't loose his first tooth until the summer after Kindergarten, so this seemed very early to me. I was holding back tears, thinking this makes her seem so grown up! Loosing their first tooth, it's such a milestone for them.

She was excited to have a loose tooth and very excited about the Tooth Fairy, but she was terrified to have it actually come out. After 2 nights in a row of her having a major meltdown when we brushed teeth - it was hanging by a thread so brushing her teeth was making it bleed and she was FREAKING out- I decided I'd had enough... I held her tight and all it took was a little flick of my finger and it popped right out. You would have thought I was torturing her if you'd heard the screams. But once she realized it was out - me calmly telling her to spit as the tooth was in her mouth, she spit it out- and wow! Talk about a mood swing. Tortured child to giddy little girl in a fraction of a second. She was thrilled! Hoping she will trust me the second time around, not likely, but here's to hoping.  Awkward teeth stage her we come.  She sure looks cute toothless, I'll enjoy it while it lasts!

Oh she is too cute Josie! I knew it was just a matter of time after we saw you guys - it was so loose! I can't believe our Madi and Addie are at the age of losing teeth! They are growing up too fast. Makes me sad. I want them to all stay the age of your little Jensen. Sucking their toes forever. (DARLING pics of him by the way!) AND let's not forget those Twilight shirts! They are the best!! And you're right. Ryan is pretty awesome to not only wear them, but to help design them! I think he should quit his day job and make Twilight shirts for a living. ;)

p.s. Agree with everything you said about the movie. 100% I'll go again!! :)

Ahhh! She's getting so big! I remember thinking the same thing when Shy lost her first tooth in kindergarten then I had to remember that Anya was a summer birthday and Shylynn was January. So they were actually about the same age. Isn't it funny the emotions our children's teeth pull out of us? I was so sad when Lynnies two middle started growing back in - I'm so gonna miss that gap!!

Wow. I saw these pictures and couldn't believe how much bigger she looks from the picture on top of your blog. Like weeds, I tell ya...

I could picture this entire scene and couldn't help but laugh. Poor kid, happy kid! It seems like yesterday I lost my first tooth while eating cereal. Time flies.

Love,
