Out Comes Tooth #4!
Pierce's 2nd top tooth has been loose for quite awhile now, I knew it was close to ready and kept trying to talk to him about pulling it out. For some reason, beyond me, he acted terrified. He was refusing to let me try to pull it, even though I have pulled out his other 3 teeth very quickly and very pain free. I promised him I'd never hurt him and that I wouldn't pull it if I didn't KNOW it was ready. He refused. So you can imagine my surprise when he came running into the room to find me, with his tooth in his hand, blood in his mouth and dripping down his chin! He had pulled it out himself! Where this came from I'll never know. After we cleaned up his face and the blood that was splattering the sink, (very thankful he decided to do it while looking in the mirror standing over the sink!) he ran outside, excited to show Dad! He was so proud that he pulled it out himself.

Madi was excited too. She keeps talking about wanting to loose a tooth, and I just want her to stay 4. He looks so cute, but I'm so not ready for the awkward teeth stage! He's growing up way too fast!

Fathers and Sons & A Girl's Night Out!
Pierce was ecstatic to go on his 1st ever Fathers & Sons camp out! He had been counting down the days for about 2 weeks. I told Madi that since the boys were going to do something special that we could do something special too, and have a girl's night out. She was thrilled! She was counting down the days with brother, equally as excited for our girls night! The day finally came...
And while the boys were doing this....

The girls were doing this...

... and a grand time was had by all!
Madi was so excited when the boys left, she said, "now we can start our 'guls' night!" I needed to make a quick trip to Costco, so I said, "ok, let's go get ready to go to Costco." To which she replied, "that is NOT part of our guls night!" Although she does love a good shopping day at Costco, she did not want to waste our special night there. I convinced her we needed to go so we could get treats for our girls night and it wasn't even time for our girls night at Annie's house. After a few minutes at Costco, she turned to me and said, "there are boys here!" She was very serious about having a girls only night!
My wonderful friend, Kathryn, hosted our little girl's night and a bunch of us moms and daughters from the ward got together. We painted the girl's toenails, had lots of yummy treats, then the girls played to their hearts content and the moms got a great time to chat. What more could we ask for?! It was a fun night!
Madi was also excited to have a special breakfast in the morning with no boys. She was thrilled to have a muffin for breakfast and we both stayed in our jammies until the boys got home, which was fine by me!
The boys got home and Pierce excitedly reported 2 things to me: he got to ride a 4 wheeler! AND the Bishop loved his BYU hat. Obviously 2 very important items. (Thanks Schofields for thrilling Pierson with his 1st ever 4 wheeler ride, he loved it!) Through out the day I coaxed a little more info from him and found out that: he also had fun playing football and baseball with his friends, had a fun time having an egg toss with Dad and the egg cracked in Dad's hands! There was some sort of water balloon fun, and Bro. Hancock was launching water balloons with a launcher! And even launched an egg! (Is this true Curtis?!) He also had fun going on a morning hike with Dad and hiked "clear to the top of a mountain!" And him and Luke and Grant found "fossils" and "dinosaur bones"! Some pretty exciting stuff! He had so much fun and loved spending special time with Dad. Madi and I loved our girl time too, I think I'll be looking forward to next years camp out.

8 is Great!
Last week Ryan and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary! Part of me was thinking- wow! I can't believe I'm even old enough to have been married for 8 years! And the other part can't even remember what life was like before marriage! Time is flying by for sure! We had a great time celebrating...
I have been wanting to go see Phantom in Vegas and we finally did it! (I'm a huge fan!) The show was, of course, amazing and I loved it!
Here we are- not a great shot, but hey, we were there!
After the show we headed to The Cheesecake Factory, were we enjoyed a delicious meal and some EXCELLENT cheesecake!
Love my husband, love my cheesecake. Our nice waiter was kind enough to snap a pic for us.
Did I mention the cheesecake? It was DELICIOUS! (Ryan was laughing at me and couldn't believe I was making him wait to dig in while I had a little photo op, but hey, I was thinking blog post!)
Monday was our actual anniversary and so we had to extend our celebration a bit. Ryan took me to lunch at The Painted Pony. We enjoyed more delicious food and more yummy dessert!

We were smart enough to order some cheesecake to bring home with us, after all we needed dessert for our anniversary night. So that night we got the kids in bed and settled in for a movie and some more delicious cheesecake. It was good. Then we...... well, it was a great night! Great weekend, great night, great husband. I am one lucky girl!
