Camp was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. I was very thankful that is was cut a day shorter than usual though. By the 2nd night I was feeling very anxious for my kids and by the next day I was very ready to come home. I am sure I have never felt so disgusting in my entire life.
I'm not able to post pics of the girls, so here is a favorite of me and some of my fabulous leaders-
Me, April, Kara & Jana - Love you girls! A few things I'll remember most about camp:
-All 8 leaders sleeping in 1 tent (not because we were unprepared, we had a tiny campsite, and not enough room to set up another tent)
-Therefore, Jana, Kara and I sleeping on 1 air mattress, sideways. At least I was warm!
-Yummy, yummy food! Thanks to Jana A.!
-Killer hike that made my 6:00 A.M walks, (which include a major thigh/butt burning hill) seem like a piece of cake!
-Being drenched in sweat and shivering with cold in the same day
-Spending some quality time with "my girls" (the Mia Maids plus the ones we just lost to Laurels) They were great examples to the younger girls in their attitudes, willingness to help, leadership and especially their beautiful testimonies. I was so happy for the chance to get to know them better and grow closer to them.
-Having fun with the awesome leaders and laughing hysterically about...
-And making complete fools of ourselves in the skit with our "scene change effects", something that I could never adequately describe, only demonstrate. I don't know why the audience wasn't laughing harder, truly it was hilarious! I'm so thankful that at least Bishop Brooks appreciated the humor.
-Rockin' skit by the Stake Priesthood Leaders
-Awesome talk by Pres. Bangerter, seriously love him! He gave such a great message based on "Virtue loveth Virtue"
-Awesome fireside by Bro. Staheli, followed by awesome testimonies from the Bishopric. Love these guys! We are so lucky to have them!

Hey Josie! It was so fun having you at camp! I'm just sorry we didn't have more chat time! It seemed like we were hustling from beginning to end! I'm glad you survived and I especially appreciate you helping me try to make my Tay feel better after testimony meeting. I really want to do your bedtime story (that I completely forgot!!) at the Camp Award activity, so keep track of it, if you will. Thanks for all your help and we'll find some chat time soon!
So glad your girls camp experience was great overall. I would have certainly been missing my little ones too. Thank goodness for their good dad and sweet Grandma giving you a little peace of mind. There is always a special spirit at camp and I'm sure the YW each had a memorable and testimony building experience. You are an amazing leader and such a cute camper!! :)
You are pretty brave to go up there with all those crazy girls!! Glad you had fun though. And I totally understand the "seperation anxiety" about leaving the kids. I have it REALLY BAD!! I just find it hilarious that they don't even realize we are gone though. Thank goodness for Grandmas!!!

That reminds me of our fun girls camps! I am glad I got to see ya over the 4th! I can't remember the last time we saw each other...in person!! Your kids are adorable and all grown up! Miss Ya!

I am so glad to read a bit about camp, I've been dying to hear about it. I love your hat, Josie!! You look so cute in it, in fact all you leaders do. I officially have 3 new hats on my wants list now. You poor things, sleeping charlie and the chocolate factory style, I'm sorry it is making me laugh. Glad you survived and had fun. So weird to hear about you going to girls camp. Are we that old? I just remember going and being kind of a trouble maker! Oops did I really admit that? Ok so I was kind of a stinker but I can't believe it's been that long ago and now you're a leader. Ugh time flys and it's starting to show on my face lol.
It was a lot of fun even though we were grimy and dirty huh?! I loved taking pictures of you guys doing your scene effects! They are good bribing tools!!! :)
