Oh that makes my heart hurt a lot! Crazy to think so many years have gone by, I really miss that lady! And for some reason, everytime I see a bus or a yellow mustang I still look to see if it's her.
What a sweet tribute to your amazing mom Josie. I loved every one of the things you listed. It's so obvious where you get your beauty - inside and out. I wish I was there to give you a hug. Love you.
Your sweet mom is so beautiful. You two look so much alike. Love you Josie
Josie, what a tribute. You have so much strength to do that. I admire how you've been able to celebrate her. She is a very beautiful lady, something that she has passed on to her daughter.
mmmm, that salad. My mouth started to juice just thinking of it. I have tried to make her green salad before and it just isn't the same. I agree with Jen on this post making my heart hurt a little. I have thought so much about her today and through out all this last week as I was in Huntsville. I am still so sad that I was not there for her funeral and wish I could have said goodbye one last time. "one vanilla cone, one sprite, one vanilla cone and I'll have a vanilla cone." I really miss you Kath and wish you were here so I could charm your legs while playing my recorder. Love you forever!
What a special list about your mom. I can tell that she was a very amazing person and I wish I could tell her what an incredibly kind, hard working, strong, loving, self-less daughter she raised. I know she is proud of you. Love ya!
Your mom was GORGEOUS! And she could still do the splits! Whoa!
I can't believe your mom would have been 50. And remind me, I may have some pics of your mom from about that same week. Natalie's bridal shower was around then and I am sure we would have taken some of your mom.
So many beautiful memories you have, she really is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing this post.
Josie, this is beautiful. I feel like Kathryn said, so deeply grateful she gave us you. My heart was sure with you all day yesterday. I love that you involved your kids in remembering her. You truly are amazing. Sure love you.
That was really neat to get to know her a little more. You seem to have many wonderful memories of her. Thanks for posting that. It get us all thinking. So glad she gave us you, and had a part in shaping you to be who you are. You're awesome Jos. Love ya.
Wow! I loved your tribute! I am sure your mother was watching you write your letter and she knows how much you love her! She is beautiful just like you! She only looks like she is 20 in that picture!
That was beautiful Josie. I am sure she is so proud of you. You are a wonderful mother and wife. :)
This post made me laugh and cry. I really miss her. I am so glad that you posted these 50 things that you love about her. Can you imagine what a rockin' 50th birthday party she would have had?
Did I ever tell you about the time we were in the van going to Weber High and she was trying desperately to pull the underwire out of one of her bra cups. She finally got it out and handed it back to me. I'm have no idea why, but I put it up to my chest and it went all the way from one side of me to the other. She looked back and laughed and said "You got a long way to go Rox." We were all laughing about how massively flat I was. Happy Birthday Kathy. You are missed more than you will ever know.
I love the way you honor and remember your mom!
Thanks Jo! That made me laugh, cry, and miss our mom so much! I love you!
She's so gorgeous, Jo. I see her in your great smile and kind heart.

Coolest tribute ever. Keep writing down memories as you think of them! I have a word doc on my computer with about 100 things that I remember of my Mom, but I'm afraid I'll forget when I'm in my 50's. or younger, haha.
Super cool list.
