Girls' Night Out!

Kathryn, Josie, Staci S.

Katie, Staci D., Staci S.

This fall I started doing a playgroup for Madi with 4 cute Moms in my new ward. It has been so fun getting to know them! This week we decided that we needed to do a night out for all of our birthdays, what a fantastic idea this was! We went out for dinner at 25 Main for Staci S.'s birthday. Such a fun night! Happy Birthday Staci! Thanks Girls! Can't wait for the next birthday!

Fun at The Farm

One of my favorite things to do this time of year is taking the kids to Staheli Farm. They loved seeing all the animals, climbing on the giant haystack, and of course picking out pumpkins! Pierson also loves the corn slide, but Madi's not quite ready for that. They had an absolute ball and I loved watching them have so much fun! We love the farm and are thankful that the Staheli Family puts so much effort into making it possible for us to have this fun family tradition. (The locals that know Sherrie know how much she puts into this, she is truly amazing and I love her!)

HALLOWEEN PARTY

We had such a fun time getting together with friends for a Halloween party! (With NO kids!) Yummy food, fun games and plenty of great laughs! Way to go Vasu, for winning "donut on a string"! And of course Congrats to Jeremy for the closest guess to how many candy corns were in the jar. (Even though there was voter fraud involved.) We are glad that Ali and Vasu are going to work things out, despite the results of "The Newlywed Game", after 13 years! A big congratulations to Jeremy & Megan for winning! Southwest Vision Grand Opening!

Ryan recently moved into a brand new office in the 700 South Building. It has been a lot of work and a LOT of STRESS for him! It was just crazy that our new home and his new office happened so closely together. The new office turned out so nice and is very beautiful! Ryan has been working so hard and I am so proud of him, we are so lucky to have him! Here are a few pictures of the VIP Open House. Remember- "check yearly, see clearly!" And make sure you see the best Dr. in town!

Cinnamon Roll Day!

Pierce and Madi loving "getting messy"
If you knew my Mom, you knew she was an amazing cook. She made the best Cinnamon Rolls EVER! I have started a tradition with my kids that every October 1st we make Cinnamon Rolls as a fun way to remember my Mom. Of course, mine are not as amazing as hers, but they are pretty yummy! The kids had so much fun "helping" me. I let them spread the butter and brown sugar around. They thought it was so fun "getting messy!" (Isn't Madi's new shirt so cute?! Gotta love Target!)

In Memory of Mom, April 24th, 1959 - October 1st, 2002

Grandpa Jens and Mom at my wedding reception in Huntsville - May 2002

One of my favorite and last memories of Mom is my 21st birthday. Ryan and I had been married for 2 months and we were living in Oregon. The morning of my birthday there was a knock on our door. Which was unusual, it wasn't like we had anybody around to be stopping by. We opened the door and my Mom burst into the room with a huge hug for me! Her and Trit had driven up to surprise me! I was SO surprised! And the surprise didn't end there, she had gotten tickets for all of us to go see "Phantom" in Portland on the 4th of July!! I was so excited! We had the best time! And the best part was, after the show we watched the fireworks off the river in downtown Portland. Is was by far the best firework show that we had ever seen and Mom was sure to let every one around us know how awesome it was. Ryan and I had the most fun listening to her "ooh" and "aah" and whistle (she had a pretty awesome whistle!) It was so much fun, the best birthday ever!  I am so grateful that I have so many wonderful memories of you Mom. I think about you all the time and wonder how different my life would be if you were still here. Especially Pierce and Madi's life, I wish so much that they knew you. I know you watch out for them. I wish so much that I could talk to you and hear your laugh. I am so grateful to have you for my Mom. I love you Mom, I miss you everyday!
