Little Dr. Robison

I have to start with a little background for this post...
All school year Pierson has been saying that he wants to be an eye doctor when he grows up and work in the same office as Daddy. A couple weeks ago we were talking about the kittens and he asked me a question and I said, "I don't know, we'll have to ask Jace." (Jace is our great Vet/new neighbor)
Pierce says,"How come he knows so much about animals?"
I explain that he went to college for a long time to learn how to take care of animals, just like Dad went to college for a long time to learn how to be an eye dr. (I have told him about college before, he is already planning on going to BYU, just like Daddy and Grandpa and Uncle Mark.) But at this moment, it clicked in his brain, and he exclaimed, "oh that's why you go to college, to learn what you want to be when you grow up!"
Then we continued out little conversation about what he wants to be when he grows up and talking about working in Daddy's office he says, "then people will be confused, cause there will be TWO Dr. Robisons! And maybe when I grown big like Dad, my hair will turn black like Dad's, then they'll be really confused!" I love conversations with this boy.

So- Kindergarten "graduation" program comes around and Pierson's part was a Doctor. He was so excited to dress up like a Dr., but he wanted to wear one of Ryan's work shirts, so that people would know he was an EYE Dr. I had to talk him into wearing this ensemble and assure him that there are lot of Dr.s who wear white coats. He was still concerned that people wouldn't know he was an EYE Dr. so Ryan got a few "eye dr." things for him to put in his pocket and this worked. Isn't he the cutest little Dr. you've ever seen?!

A Happy Mother's Day

I was so happy to have such a nice Mother's Day weekend. The first surprise came on Friday night from a sweet husband and a sweet boy...

I'm sure this is the face of the sweetest boy ever! He was so excited to surprise me!

Mother's Day morning was great - Ryan let me sleep in a bit and when I came down stairs the kids were all ready to surprise me and this is what I found...

"Happy Mother's Day Mom!"..."Happy Mudders Day Mom!"
I was spoiled with hugs, kisses, sweet cards and great gifts. I had seen this great frame on sale for 60% OFF and mentioned it to Ryan and he picked it up for me (what a smart guy!), and I helped him out by buying myself a Pampered Chef chopper I'd been wanting for years, and giving it to him to let the kids give me for Mother's Day. I'm sure he appreciated me making it so easy for him. He did actually surprise me with a new CD, and that was impressive. They were so sweet and the kids were extatic with surprising me. Ryan made breakfast and it was a wonderful morning.

We made it through church with only a minor frustration, and then the kids were so thrilled to give me the cute flowers their teachers had ready for them to give to their Mom's. (So lucky to have such great primary teachers!) They were really cute, and after a bit of persuasion we were able to get a few pictures with them.

My amazing husband and Me....I am so lucky to have him.
Ryan and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary the previous weekend, (May 3rd) which I didn't get around to blogging about... 7 years, 7 moves, 1 graduation, 3 offices, and 2 babies later, here we are. And I couldn't be happier. (ok maybe I might be able to be a tiny bit happier, like if Madi would potty train!)

My day was made even brighter by one of my dearest, sweetest friends, when we arrived home and found this on our front porch. It would have made my day even if it was just the bag!

As I enjoyed my Mother's Day - I, of course, thought a lot about my Mom. I am so thankful for the Mother she was so me, for all the good we shared, and all the good she taught me. I am especially thankful that she helped me to gain my own testimony, for it is only through this that I know I can be strong and be happy in my day to day life, even though I am missing her each day. Now that I am a Mom I appreciate her SO much more! (I guess all of us Mom's know that our children will never be able to fully appreciate us until they become parents themselves!) She was an incredible Mom and I can't imagine how she had 5 children at the age of 25 and kept her sanity. Truly she was an extraordinary women.

At the end of a great Mother's Day, I thought - at this stage in my life, here is what being a Mom means to me:
Constantly trying to solve a problem, fix a toy, stop a fight, or take care of an owie...
In between fixing a meal, fixing a snack, attempting to clean up the mess in the kitchen before the next meal
Cleaning, cleaning and cleaning and then accepting the fact that my house will never be all the way clean
Trying to find a little more patience when I think it is all lost and I just. can't. handle. another. fit.
And when the fit is over, the problem fixed and sometimes the mess cleaned up...
I can't imagine any greater joy.

NEW

Our New Little Arrivals

Our first bit of new excitement this week, Bella had her kittens on Sunday the 26th
It may look like a little pile of fur, but there are actually 5 tiny kittens in there!

We were so excited to come home from church and find 3 kittens, and then Monday morning to find 2 more! The kids are loving checking on Bella and the babies through out the day. I love watching the tiny little things, they are so darling wobbling around and climbing all over each other. I loved having kittens when I was a kid and I am loving watching my own kids' excitment now. They are so sweet, I wish we could keep them all, but we will only be keeping 1. So we will have 4 adorable kittens in need of a good home in about 2 months.

New Little Cousin

My sister Trit, (AKA Deli) had her little Baby Hannah on Monday the 27th.

Pierce & Madi were excited for little "Hannah Banana" to arrive. Pierson woke to major excitement Monday morning when we told him that Aunt Deli was at the hospital having her baby AND that Bella had 2 more kittens during the night! WOW! So many new babies!

So Flippin' Excited for New Flip Flops

I took Pierce & Madi shopping for new summer sandals and oh my goodness - I never imagined so much excitment over a pair of flip flops! Pierce has been wanting some for a long time, since he had noticed his buddy Grant's flip flops. We walked into the store and he immedietley spotted them, then he quickly grabbed the ones he wanted "SHARKS!!!" He thought there were the best thing ever. We had to go to Daddy's office to surprise him with the new footwear, and he had to show them to all of the office gals, and take them of to show them the awesome shark. "It's like a puzzle!" He told them, "most of the shark is on one and the fin is on the other!" Madi was also excited to realize that her's were "like a puzzle!" and she was so excited to pick the PINK AND PURPLE ones! They were so excited about them that Pierson was actually begging me to go to Costco the next day just so he could wear them. (No shoes in the house was a suddenly a major bummer for them, so a trip to Costco sounded awesome, usually something he whines about.)

New Shades

Ryan just brought a new line of kids sunglasses into his office and surprised the kids with these. The kids are loving them and want to wear them all the time! I told them they are "real" sunglasses and they have been really good at taking care of them so far. ($39 - $49 at Dr. Robison's office) Don't they just look so cute?!

We have had a very fun week with so many new exciting things!
