Movie Night!

The highlight of the week for me- movie night with the girls, twice!

On Tuesday a group of girls in my ward had invited me to go see Bride Wars at 10:00. Then that afternoon, Anita- a very devoted fellow Twilight fan, called me and said she was taking Suzanne to see Twilight that night. Anita had just converted Suzanne to Twilightism and she had just read Twilight over the weekend! So, OF COURSE, I HAD to go be with Suzanne for her first time seeing the movie! (Plus I was anxious to see the movie again after listening to the soundtrack I got for Christmas.)I wasn't sure what to do, go to Twilight at 7:00, or go to Bride Wars at 10:00. But my sweet and wonderful husband said, "well if you want to go to both, that's ok." So, I did something I have never done before, hit 2 movies in 1 night! It was great! I LOVED watching Twilight again with Suzanne and Anita! Then I met up with the great group of girls for Bride Wars. It was so much fun and just what I needed!

Suzanne(1st time), Me(4th time) & Anita (oh a dozen or so times!) at Twilight

I wanted to get a pic of all the girls at Bride Wars, but everyone scattered so fast after it was over. Next time, girls, we need a picture!

Park Day

The highlight of the week for the kids- a nice day at the park with friends!

Our View

Over the last few months I have realized that one of my favorite things about our new house is our view! I love that I have so many windows on the back side of my house- I can be doing dishes, in the middle of dinner, cleaning up the playroom, or in my bedroom and I have this great view!

We see such gorgeous sunsets! I love it! (I have also realized that I suddenly have this thing about taking pictures of the sunsets too!)

Family Pictures

My cute friend, Staci Davies, took our family pictures for us. She did a great job! Madi was a total stinker and she still managed to get some great shots! Not to mention we did this twice! (Explains the lack of family pics, Madi was NOT cooperating!) Thanks Stac!

Huntsville Snow

A little comparison- The Huntsville snow, Sunday the 21st, after we had cleared the snow away from my Mom's headstone

The Huntsville snow, Sunday the 28th, now covering my Mom's headstone

There is a TON of snow up there! The very first time Ryan went to Huntsville to meet my family, we drove into town and he said "you live here?! Isn't this were people have cabins and stuff?!" After growing up there my whole life, now that I have become a St. George girl, I can't believe I survived for so long in so much cold and so much snow!

We Love You Gram!

My Family - Ginger, Trit, Me, Kate, Amos, Dad, Susan, Sam, Katie, Alex, Jack

I put together this magnet board to display at my Grandma's funeral, it turned out so cute!

My Grandma's funeral was really nice. The program was really sweet, my Dad and his wife, Susan, spoke and were wonderful. And my sister, Katie, my cousin, Michelle, and I shared a few or our favorite memories and thoughts about Grandma.
I have to explain the gaping hole and the casket sitting on the ground- a very sad and very creepy event occur ed at the cemetery. A young women was killed there of Christmas Day. On the 26th, the man plowing the cemetery to prepare for the funeral found her. So the cemetery was turned into a crime scene. It was really creepy that something like that happened in Huntsville. They were not able to clear the cemetery in time for the mortuary to get everything ready for the burial. The hole was dug, but that was it. We were able to go in and dedicate the grave after the funeral but she wasn't able to be buried until the next day. It was a bit unsettling, but I was able to go back after she was buried and see her grave before we came home. So, besides that, everything went really well, as well as a funeral can. I will miss my Grandma so much and miss going to visit her in Huntsville, but I am so thankful that she is so happy now!

Our Very Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve tradition of reading "The Polar Express", my favorite!

Madi loved her new rocking horse, she had to sit on it to empty her stocking, and eat breakfast

Pierson with his gift from Santa, Flash, the Super-hero. I love his simple request & his excitment!

Madi with her new baby puppy

Madi's gift from Mom & Dad, princess chest!

She immediately got all dressed up and loved it!

Pierce with all of his fun new stuff

Mom & Dad - taken by Pierson (not too bad)

Madi going for the candy...

...mission accomplished! Notice this is the ONLY picture of her smiling! Her shirt is SO appropriate!

Too sweet not to share, we love Uncle Mark! (Who is available! And obviously Sweet, willing to do blind dates!)

We had walked down to our good friends, the Woodburys and had to run home in the wind and rain. As soon as we made it in the door it really picked up. This is how Ryan came in after securing one of our trees, and then helping out neighbors with their run away trampoline. We wrapped up the night with the power going out and having a real candle light dinner. Luckily I had just taken everything out of the oven, and I had just gotten the candles down from the pantry thinking candles would be nice for our Christmas dinner. As soon as got them down, the power went out, talk about good timing!
