The BFFs - We had such a fun few days this week with our great friends Kenny & Erin! They were up from San Diego for the week and we loved spending time with them. We got together with the kids and Pierson and Ellie played great together! (Although Ellie was mostly interested in the kitties and wanted to hang in the garage with them) We enjoyed going out to dinner with them and another friend of Ryan and Kenny's from high school, Myron, and his wife, Maritza. Saturday was the DHS class of '93 reunion. (I'd just like to mention I was in 6th grade when they were seniors, Ryan is lucky to have such a young wife.) It was fun for Ryan to catch up with friends and for us wives to talk girl talk. We had the funnest table there and we had some great laughs!

Summer Swimming

The kids have had so much fun swimming this summer! Pierson took 2 sessions of swimming lessons and he has come so far - from last year, not wanting to jump in and go under the water - to wanting to practice his front crawl and knee dives, the whole time we're at the pool, and LOVING it! He loves his new goggles and is doing great!

Jam Day

Pierson helped me make raspberry jam this week. He loved helping me squish up the berries! You can't go wrong with freezer jam, yummy!

Madi

I was trying to get a picture of Madi, but she was very busy, as you can see. (Maybe she will be my "star" piano player. I know Deli is laughing.) I at least mangaed to get her to look at me once, what a cutie! Don't you love her new bows?!

New Kittens

Ryan and I have been telling Pierson for almost 2 years now, that when we had a house with a bigger yard that he could get a kitten. He has been telling everyone that what he is most excited about with our new house is getting a kitten. So we got a kitten 3 days after we moved in, and of course we couldn't get 1, we had to get 2 kittens. He loves his kittens and loves to hold them. They are cute little kitties and have been really fun. We named them Leo and Bella. I suggested Edward and Bella and Pierson was all for it, (he liked the names for different reasons, Edward as in Thomas the train's friend, and Bella from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) but I decided that I just could NOT call a cat Edward. So we stuck with Bella for the girl and went with Leo for the boy (as in Leo from Little Einsteins.) Their names seem to fit and the kids are loving them!

1st Day of Kindergarten

Pierson started Kindergarten last week. He was sooo excited! The morning of his first day he woke up before I was up, came into my room, completely dressed, and said "I'm ready for Kindergarten!" Every morning since, he gets up, gets dressed and comes in to find me and says "I'm in my Kindergarten clothes!" It is so cute! He is so excited that his best friend, Grant, is in his class. He likes his teacher and is excited to go to school everyday. I can't believe how big he is! (Or how handsome!)

Pierson's Birthday!

Pierson turned 5 on the 24th of July! He had a super fun Mickey Birthday. (He has been very into Mickey since we went to Disneyland this year) He loved his pinyata, (which I successfully made) and he loved his cake. He had a fun party with his best buddy, Grant, and lots of cousins, and was especially excited for his cousin Taylee to be there. (Tay busted the pinyata!) He got a bike which he is totally loving! He also loved going to the fireworks that night, his favorite perk about having his b-day on the 24th.

Our New Home

We are so happy and excited to finally be in our new home! We LOVE it! I feel very spoiled! I have to admit that I do feel like all I am going to be doing now is cleaning!
